This year has been so crazy for our family!  Our boy started kinder, we added a new baby girl to the mix, the hubby started a new job, AND we moved to a new city!  Needless to say- I took some much needed time off to focus on my growing/changing/adapting/CRAZY little family.  :)  But now we’re back in business!!

Emma is now 4 months old.  She’s a sweet sassy little girl who, come to find out, is NOT afraid to speak her mind.  I guess I just expected her to be just like her sister Kaedyn but they couldn’t be more different!!  She actually reminds me of her brother Trey when he was a baby.  It’s so fun and interesting to see what comes out of the gene pool!  Here are a few I took of her at 2 weeks old.  My little baby doll.

And here she is now.  I couldn’t believe how much she had changed when I was putting this post together!!

This is Aleah.  I’m sure she too has moved on with her life and forgotten ALL about graduation and taking her senior pictures.  But she’s just too cute not to post!

School is out and summer is almost halfway over.  Trevor has probably moved on with his life and forgotten all about his senior pictures, but I haven’t!

For April’s campaign for Real Beauty I decided to feature my adorable niece Belle.  This little girl has such a fun personality!  She seems to always be happy, mischievous, and of course the center of attention.  I sure do love this girl!

This is my friend Kristin.  She is the perfect candidate for my Campaign for Real Beauty for so many reasons!  First, as you can see, Kristin is an amazing mom to two adorable kids.  I knew I wanted to feature a young mom in one of my CFRB posts because anyone who is or has ever been a young mom knows for hard it can be.  Well Kristin rocks the young mom role and then some!  Not only does she stay at home with her kids but she does it with the nearest Wal-Mart being an hour away!  What amazes me most about Kristin though is that she is also hard of hearing.  This woman manages a home and raises her kids beautifully with the challenge of not being able to hear.  She also teaches a sign language class for the ladies of our little town once a week.  What a woman!  I feel so lucky to have her as my friend.

When I first started thinking about what to do for my Campaign for Real Beauty I instantly thought of my friend Jean.  I have known this beautiful woman my whole life and have always looked up to her.  She is one of the most charitable and unassuming people that I have ever met.  When I was a little girl Jean made me feel special and important.  Now I have the opportunity to be her neighbor so my kids can get to know her too!

When I think of true beauty I think of people like Jean who live a life filled with what is most important and do not judge others for the way they live theirs.

I wanted to start in Jean’s kitchen because, although she doesn’t think it’s anything special, this is where a lot of her magic happens.

Jean has won multiple awards for her breads and cookies.  I personally have seen her in action teaching other women how to make perfect homemade bread.  She is simply amazing, just ask my kids!  Since we have been neighbors she has on several occasions brought us warm loaves of bread and homemade cookies.  It’s the love that makes them so delicious!

Another big part of Jean is her quilting.  She talked to me a little bit about certain tricks that she uses to get the quilts just right.  I guess it takes a lifetime of experience to perfect the art of quilting!

The biggest of part of Jean’s life however is her husband Ed.  They are inseparable.  She takes care of him at home and drives him to church every Sunday.  Some evenings when Ed is feeling up to it I’ll see them walking down the road, Ed with his walking stick in one hand and Jean in the other.  What they are to each other is one of the things that I admire most about them.

This is Rachael, she’s graduating this year <<go Rachael!!>>.  I’m so glad she asked me to take her senior pictures!   With every person (especially seniors) I try to get to know them a little so I can really capture their personality.  I learned that Rachael is such a beautiful girl with a quiet confidence that to me made her stand out more than blend in.
